Whether an intimate gathering of friends or a lavish affair, great food is the cornerstone of memorable celebrations. Chef Rose Johnson approaches each occasion with an eye to making wonderful memories for you and your guests. Below are menus Rose has created for recent and upcoming events.

For a St. Patrick's Day event, crafted to blend the best of Old World tradition with modern cuisine.

APPETIZERS
• Westport Rivers' wine poached salmon
nestled in a light chive custard and flaky pastry cup
(The Irish consider salmon to be the "king of fishes")
• Rose's grilled Irish soda bread bites with Kerry Gold cheese and Westport winery jam
• Almond stuffed prunes wrapped in bacon
(bacon is a major component of Irish cuisine)

ENTREE
• Glazed corned beef
• Seared cabbage wedges, oven roasted parsnips, carrots and onions, sauteed fresh kale
• Irish Champagne mashed yukon gold potatoes with green onions and cream
• Local salad greens in a light vinaigrette dressing

DESSERT
• Trifle with Westport Rivers wine soaked sponge cake,
lemon curd cream, and fresh blackberries
(lemon curd and blackberries are very popular in Ireland)
